News has been received of the death in Action in France on the 12th of Mr Luther Thomas (CT) a member of the staff.

MARCH 13th
Mr L J Thomas (CT) absent today - joining the Glamorgan Yeomanry at Bridgend and submitting himself for medical examination at Cardiff.

MARCH 14th
Mr L J Thomas (CT) absent today - went to Swansea in order to get attestation papers filled up for the Glamorgan Yeomanry in accordance with instructions received at Bridgend.

MARCH 17th
Mr L J Thomas (CT) leaves today to join his Regiment.

From the Cambrian Daily Leader newspaper, 18th September 1918 :-

News reached Llansamlet on Wednesday of the death in action of Private Luther Thomas, Birchgrove. Private Thomas, who joined the Yeomanry, was transferred to the Welsh, and had been in France for some time. Educated at Ystalyfera County School and Bangor University, he was until enlistment on the staff of Glais School. He leaves a young widow.
