Family DetailsMartha RICHARDS (Born Ystalyfera 1894) of 5 Owen's Lane Godre'rgraig married Patrick in 1911 Oct/Nov/Dec. She was living with her mother Louisa Elizabeth Richards (a widow Born in North Wales). Her father Henry Richards died 1904. After Patrick died she remarried in 1917 a Mr. William Charles Burgess.

YSTALYFERA NOTES
Another Godre'rgraig boy is to be added to the long list of soldiers from that district who have suffered in the Great War. Private Patsey Maher, of the South Wales Borderers, has been wounded in the Dardanelles, information to that effect having sent to his wife, Mrs. M. Maher, 25 Owen's Lane. He is also suffering from dysentery. Before joining the colours, Private Maher worked at the Tarreni Collieries. He is now in hospital at Birmingham and is progressing favourably.


Martha BURGESS died in 1973 aged 80 years. Martha's Mother - Louisa Elizabeth RICHARDS died in 1925 and is buried in Holy Trinity Plot Unknown
